Okay. He did look good. I would have liked a bit more screen time, and

- it's not bad, but it's not very good either. I found the story a bit... weird at some points. I could see what the writers meant to do with the political versus the sexual power struggle, but it seemed... off. None of the characters are very sympathetic, except maybe for the children (great acting from that boy, I must say). Allam is tragically underused, and I really do hope his success with Endeavour will mean he won't have to accept parts like this again. But I think what's basically lacking in this series is a tiny bit of humour. It's all very serious drama, and never a laugh. And IMHO, you can't write anything good without a bit of humour.
